We are happy to welcome all permanent residents of the Town of Braintree to our Braintree Schools.
The Braintree Public School (BPS) system services over 5,800 students. Beyond the academic day and year, students are able to access multiple opportunities in academic and social clubs and activities, visual and performing arts, athletics, and extended year support services and programs.
All New Student Registrations are done online through

If a school or classroom/grade are full, the Superintendent of Schools, at his discretion, can place a student in another school building
If your child has an IEP and may require a substantially separate program, your school placement is based on which school can provide the special education support and services comparable to those in your child's active IEP rather than the school assigned by your home address. The Special Services department will be in touch regarding assignment. You can begin online registration through your home school listing, but your placement may be adjusted based your child's IEP.

CURRENT 2025-2026 KINDERGARTEN Students ONLY:
If you have received an *EMAIL/Placement Letter that your student is guaranteed a spot in the 2025/2026 SY Kindergarten program, you can use this QR code to make payments.
If you have not received an email or placement guarantee letter from the school, please do not make any payments.
