- “South Middle School PTO”
Welcome to the 2018-2019 School Year!
South Middle School PTO Mission Statement: To build a community of Parents, Teachers, Staff and Students focused on supporting the educational needs of our community members through communication, collaboration and community action.
It is the PTO’s mission to foster communication in our community. Our officers can be reached via email at email@example.com. We will utilize email to send periodic updates and reminders of events at South, to request volunteers and share PTO meeting minutes. We will also be leveraging Facebook, so like us at South Middle School PTO.
One way in which the PTO raises funds is through the Stop and Shop card program. By furnishing us with your card number we can easily complete the process of registering our school with your card and then South Middle School will raise money with every purchase you make. Have a grandparent, aunt, uncle neighbor with a Stop and Shop card and they would like to help? Please include their name and card number and we will register them also. This is a very quick and EASY way to raise money for our school. Log on to www.stopandshop.com/aplus to register online. Please be sure to register your card to benefit South Middle School using ID 09163.
Other ways that you can help support South Middle School:
Utilize the textile bin located in the parking lot of the school and spread the word to neighbors and friends to use the bin. South will receive money for every pound of donated items (Clothing, blankets, foot wear, stuffed animals etc.)
Attend PTO meetings
To support the various programs and events sponsored by the PTO, we are again requesting an annual voluntary donation of $20/family.
Funds raised support the PTO in providing one cultural arts program per grade per year, as well as other school-wide appreciation events. We do our best to work around back to school night schedules in the other Braintree schools. Our meetings are attended by the school principal. Many parents enjoy these meetings because it is a great way to learn about the day to day activities at the school. We appreciate our parents’ busy schedules, and do our best to share information electronically. Be sure to join our email list by sending an email to the address above; it’s especially helpful if you cannot attend meetings.
