The Braintree Community Youth Center strives to be a fun and safe environment for all young people who enter its doors. We seek to offer an open meeting and gathering place free of discrimination based upon race, ethnicity, religion, and sexual orientation.

We do not in any way encourage or condone violence and encourage alternative solutions and conclusions as a means to resolve problems that may occur.

The Braintree Community Youth Center encourages the participation of youth in its growth allowing the Center to be a reflection of youth needs, wants and achievements. By this it is hoped that this process will encourage creativity and community participation of its members, encouraging the development of positive relationships with persons of all ages within the community or from surrounding towns.

Request For Volunteers

Dear Parents and Members of the Braintree Community:

The Braintree Community Youth Center needs volunteers to keep the youth center open every Friday and Saturday night. We believe that our youth center is a safe, fun, affordable place for the youth to hang out, play, learn social interaction skills and grow friendships. Ideally, we need to have the youth center staffed with six adults each night that we are open.

The volunteer responsibilities at the BCYC are simple and straight forward. Our main purpose as volunteers is to simply be an adult presence in their place to play. Just hang out with the members at casually outlined areas around the youth center. Feel free to play pool, ping pong, video games or just watch television. We create an adult presence in all areas of the space so that the youths understand that their behavior is being monitored to a small but important degree.

We have two other volunteer positions as well. The sign-in volunteer and snack bar volunteers have special features that we are happy to tell you more about if they sound interesting to you. Just let us know you are interested in them when you volunteer.

To volunteer your time to the BCYC simply email or call 781-228-5361 to leave a message and we'll get back to you. Thank you for helping to make the Braintree Community Youth Center a success!
