Hidden In Plain Sight

Hidden in Plain Sight is an Interactive Presentation Open House for Parents, Guardians and Community Members designed to raise awareness about the possibility of risky behavior particularly among our youth.

When: Thursday, April 27 from 9am - 8pm (We invite you to just drop in. Presentations run every 30 minutes.)

Where: Cahill Auditorium, Braintree Town Hall

Amazing Healthy Race is like a scavenger hunt, the Amazing Race and Trivial Pursuit all mixed together! It's for students, parents/guardians, family members and community members. Not an athlete? No problem! Brains beat brawns in this unique adventure. Solve clever clues and perform challenges while learning healthy tips along the route!

Youth Art Month

United Through Art - Youth Art Month 2017

Students in grades K through 12 from across Massachusetts have been selected to have their artwork displayed at the State Transportation Building in Boston. The show will be on display and open to the public weekdays 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. from February 13 through March 31. A traditional Family Celebration will be held on Sunday, March 26 from 12-4 (Please note date change), ALL invited! (Closed Presidents' Day, Monday, February 20, 2017)

Buddies at School

In the photo, fourth grade students and their teacher, Nick Pestone, plan for an educational video about the school's Buddy Bench. Elementary schools across the Commonwealth are using Buddy Benches to encourage students to play, talk and make connections with new friends.

Technology in Our Classrooms

Students at Braintree High School now have access to over 350 Chromebooks for use in classes. These are in addition to the six desktop labs. The high school has also upgraded a lab to iMacs; currently, students use the iMacs for video production and music composition. In the coming years, students will be able to bring their own Chromebook, laptop, and tablet devices and the coursework utilizing the iMacs may expand to include additional arts and languages. Nine of the district's schools are also experiencing upgrades in student technology.
